ABOUT THE NORTHERN OPEN

It’s been a while since Detroit had a 4-star table tennis event and NATT is overjoyed to be bringing the competition back in 2013!

Held in conjunction with AAU’s Junior Olympics at the Cobo Center in Detroit, Michigan, the usual slate of junior events has been eliminated because we want to encourage kids to enter the Junior Olympics, which will be held from July 29-31, 2013.

Cobo Center is located in downtown Detroit and is known in the table tennis community because it hosted the US Open Teams Championships for many years. The city has changed dramatically since the last Teams event in 1987 and we’re excited for a chance to explore the city!

Don’t miss your chance to be a part of this event! Players and spectators, beginners and pros – all are welcome! The popularity of NATT’s 4-star tournaments has increased every year, so we hope to bring the same competitive spirit to the Midwest as we have to our East and West Coast events.
